Terms & Conditions
Last updated: 21 July 2026
Booking, cancellation, token and pricing figures below reflect the current settings in our booking system. Because several are configurable, these Terms treat the values shown at the time of booking as the source of truth, so they remain accurate if a setting changes.
1. About these terms
These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the website at www.raindayspa.com.au (the "Website") and the services and facilities provided by Rain Day Spa Indooroopilly Pty Ltd (ACN 700511324), trading as Rain Day Spa ("Rain Day Spa", "we", "us", "our").
By creating an account, making a booking or purchase, or using our facilities, you agree to these Terms, our Health Waiver, Assumption of Risk & Disclaimer ("Waiver") and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Website or our services.
2. Eligibility and accounts
- You must be 18 years or older to create an account, make a booking or use the facilities.
- You are responsible for keeping your account details secure and for all activity under your account.
- You agree to provide accurate information and to keep it up to date.
3. Our facilities and sessions
We operate a wellness facility which may include a sauna, hydrotherapy spa and ice plunge (the "Facility"), and we make available massage and related treatments provided by independent practitioners. Key features of bookings for the self‑directed facilities:
- Session length: 45 minutes, starting on the hour.
- Capacity: 4 spots per session.
- Booking types: Individual (1 spot), Couple (2 spots), and Exclusive (reserves all 4 spots).
- Operating hours: sessions are offered within our published opening hours, currently 7:00am–7:00pm daily. Opening hours may change and current hours are shown on the Website.
- Booking windows (how far ahead you can book), by booking type: Individual 30 days, Couple 90 days, Exclusive 180 days ahead. Current windows are shown at booking.
Massage and related treatments may be booked separately or added to a session. Their duration, price and availability are shown at the time of booking. Treatments are performed by independent practitioners and are subject to clause 13 and to the Waiver.
Use of the Facility is subject to the Waiver, including the requirement that you are fit to participate and that the Facility may not be staffed at all times.
4. Prices and payment
- Prices for sessions, tokens, subscriptions, extras, treatments and gift cards are shown on the Website and may change from time to time. The price that applies is the one displayed at the time you make your booking or purchase.
- Prices are in Australian dollars, are shown as a single total price, and include GST where GST applies.
- Payments are processed securely by our payment provider, Stripe. We do not store your full card details.
5. Tokens
Some bookings are paid for using tokens, issued through a subscription or purchased separately:
- Tokens are typed to a booking type (Individual, Couple or Exclusive) and can only be used for that booking type.
- Token cost per session reflects whether the session is off‑peak or peak, and whether you book back‑to‑back sessions, as shown at booking.
- Subscription tokens expire at the end of the billing period (see clause 7). Additional (purchased) tokens expire one calendar month after your subscription’s next renewal date as at the time of purchase, as shown in your account.
- Tokens have no cash value, are non‑transferable, and are not redeemable for cash.
6. Cancellations, changes, no‑shows and refunds
Cancellation window
You may cancel a booking up to a set time before the session starts to receive a refund of the token(s) used, or a refund of any card or gift‑card payment. The current cancellation windows are:
- Standard bookings: at least 24 hours before the session start time.
- Bookings that include extras (other than towel hire): at least 72 hours before the session start time.
The cancellation window that applies to your booking is shown at the time of booking and in your account. These windows may be adjusted by us; the window shown when you book is the one that applies to that booking.
Inside the window / no‑shows
If you cancel later than the applicable window, or do not attend ("no‑show"), no refund is given and tokens are not returned. This reflects that the spot is reserved for you and generally cannot be re‑booked at short notice.
Refunded tokens
Where a token is refunded on an eligible cancellation, its expiry is recalculated to whichever is later: its original expiry date, or the cancellation date plus 2 days — so you always have at least 2 days to rebook.
Token misuse protection
A token may be refunded on cancellation a limited number of times. If a token that has already been refunded once is cancelled again, it is permanently retired and is not returned. This prevents repeated booking and cancelling of the same token.
Late arrival
Sessions run for a fixed 45 minutes from the scheduled start time. If you arrive late, your session still ends at the scheduled time and lost time is not refunded or made up.
If we cancel or change a session
If we cancel, materially reschedule, or are unable to provide a session or Treatment you have booked (for example, because of maintenance, a Practitioner’s unavailability, or events outside our control), we will offer you the choice of a comparable rebooking or a full refund of the token(s) or amount paid, and any refunded token’s expiry will be extended as above. This is in addition to any remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law.
Discretion
We may, at our discretion, waive or vary these rules in exceptional circumstances (for example, illness or emergency). Doing so once does not oblige us to do so again.
Your consumer rights
Nothing in this clause limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a remedy where a service is not provided with due care and skill or is not reasonably fit for purpose, to the extent the law requires. We are not, however, required to provide a refund simply because you change your mind.
7. Subscriptions
- Billing and auto‑renewal. Subscriptions are billed in advance on a weekly or monthly cycle, depending on the plan you choose, and renew automatically until you cancel. You are told the price and cycle before you subscribe, and the renewal terms are shown at sign‑up and in your account.
- Token grant. Each renewal issues the tokens for your plan. Unused subscription tokens expire at the end of each billing period and do not roll over.
- Additional tokens. You may purchase additional tokens regardless of your plan, subject to clause 5.
- Pausing. Where the pause feature is available, you may pause your subscription as described in your account. While paused, billing and token grants are suspended as described at the time you pause.
- Cancelling. You may cancel at any time from your account, without charge. On cancellation, your subscription continues until the end of the current billing period, after which billing stops and any remaining tokens expire at the end of that period.
- Price and plan changes. We may change subscription prices or plan features. We will give you reasonable advance notice, and changes take effect from your next renewal. If you do not accept a change, you may cancel before it takes effect.
8. Gift cards
- Gift cards are valid for at least 3 years from the date of issue, consistent with the Australian Consumer Law.
- Gift cards can be redeemed for eligible bookings and purchases as described at checkout, are not redeemable for cash, and are non‑transferable except as permitted by law.
- We do not charge post‑purchase administration or activation fees on gift cards, except as permitted by law.
- We are not responsible for lost or stolen gift cards, except to the extent the law requires.
9. Extras
Optional extras (such as towel hire and other add‑ons) may be added to a booking at the prices shown. Some extras affect the cancellation window for that booking (see clause 6). Availability of extras may vary.
10. Food and alcohol
We may serve light food and alcoholic drinks at the Facility. Where we serve alcohol:
- it is served only to guests aged 18 or over, under and in accordance with our Queensland liquor licence and responsible‑service‑of‑alcohol obligations, and we may ask for proof of age;
- it is served for consumption after you have finished using the sauna, spa and ice plunge; you must not use or re‑enter those facilities after consuming any alcohol;
- you must not bring your own alcohol to the Facility; and
- we may refuse or stop serving alcohol, and may refuse entry to or use of the facilities, to any person who is or appears to be intoxicated, without refund.
Any food we serve is kept and handled in accordance with applicable food‑safety requirements, and pre‑packaged items carry the supplier’s ingredient and allergen information. Please check the labelling and tell us about any allergies before ordering.
11. Conduct and our rights
You agree to follow all posted rules and staff or Practitioner directions, maintain appropriate hygiene (including showering before using the wet facilities), and behave respectfully toward staff, Practitioners and other guests. We may refuse entry to, remove, or suspend the account of any person who breaches these Terms, behaves unsafely or inappropriately, or is intoxicated, without refund and without limiting our other rights.
12. Health and safety
Use of the Facility is subject to the Waiver. You confirm you are fit to participate, you accept the risks set out in the Waiver, and you acknowledge the Facility may not be staffed at all times. If you feel unwell at any time you must stop and seek assistance.
13. Liability
Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee, right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law or other law that cannot be excluded ("Non‑excludable Rights").
Subject to your Non‑excludable Rights, and to the maximum extent permitted by law:
- our liability to you for the supply of the self‑directed wellness facilities (which are recreational services) in respect of death and personal injury is limited as set out in the Waiver;
- massage and related treatments are supplied by independent practitioners; the consumer guarantees apply to those services to the extent required by law, and where a practitioner is responsible for a matter we will assist you to raise it with them;
- we are not liable for loss or damage that is not reasonably foreseeable, or that arises from your breach of these Terms or the Waiver, your misuse of the Facility, or matters outside our reasonable control; and
- we are not liable for loss or theft of your personal belongings at the Facility, except to the extent caused by us and not lawfully excludable.
Because our services are of a kind ordinarily acquired for personal, domestic or household use, we do not seek to limit our liability for a failure to comply with a consumer guarantee to re‑supply; your rights and remedies under the Australian Consumer Law apply in full.
14. Intellectual property
All content on the Website (including text, images, logos and branding) is owned by or licensed to Rain Day Spa Indooroopilly Pty Ltd and is protected by copyright and other laws. You may not copy, reproduce or use it without our permission, except as permitted by law.
15. Privacy
We handle your personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.
16. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The version that applies to a booking or purchase is the version published at the time you make it. We will post the current version on the Website.
17. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia, and you submit to the non‑exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of that State.
